Aligners are a series of thin, clear trays made for your teeth. Each set moves the teeth a little. They are nearly invisible, you remove them to eat and brush, and there are no wires to adjust.
Is it right for you?
- Crowded, gapped or slightly crooked teeth

What happens, step by step
- Orthodontic check, photos and scan or impressions
- Digital plan showing how your teeth will move
- Aligners given with instructions
- Change trays as advised; reviews every few weeks
- Retainer at the end to keep the result
Aftercare
- Wear them about 22 hours a day
- Remove to eat; brush before putting them back
- Wear your retainer as advised to stop teeth moving back
Questions
How long does aligner treatment take?
It depends on your teeth. Mild cases can take a few months; more complex cases take longer. Your plan shows the expected time.
Aligners or braces?
Both work well. Aligners are less visible and removable; braces suit some complex cases better and do not rely on you wearing them.
This page is general information. Your dentist will advise what suits you after an examination.
