Crowns and bridges

Caps that protect weak teeth, and fixed bridges that fill gaps.

A crown is a cap that covers and protects a weak, cracked or root-canal-treated tooth. A bridge replaces missing teeth by joining a false tooth to crowns on the teeth either side.

Is it right for you?

  • Teeth after root canal treatment
  • Large, broken or worn fillings
  • Missing teeth where an implant is not chosen

What happens, step by step

  1. Tooth prepared under local anaesthesia
  2. Impression or scan and shade matching
  3. Temporary crown fitted
  4. Final crown or bridge cemented

Aftercare

  • Avoid sticky food on the temporary crown
  • Clean under bridges with floss threaders or interdental brushes
  • Regular check-ups
